Honors College Hosts District High School Competition

2015 marks the third year for UAH's Honors College to host ASCA’s District High School Scholars Bowl Competition.

On February 13, at UAH's College of  Business Administration, high school scholars bowl teams from across North Alabama competed in the 2015 Alabama Scholastic Competition Association (ASCA) District High School Scholars Bowl. The competition called scholars bowl, or quiz bowl, is like the gameshow Jeopardy. School teams are paired off in groups of two, which compete against each other using buzzers. The UAH softball team has played eleven games with every game being played in the Rocket City, which has suited the Chargers well. Head Coach Les Stuedeman has led her team to an 8-3 start, but the record would not have come to fruition if it wasn’t for solid hitting and superb pitching.
